Rosen Saba partner Elizabeth L. Bradley will be presenting on the increasingly hot topic of California’s Non-Competition Laws at the Los Angeles Paralegal Association on Tuesday, January 26, 2016. Ms. Bradley is an experienced employment lawyer and will bring substantial firsthand knowledge to the presentation.
California is known to be an employee-friendly state and indeed is one of a very small handful of states that strikes down non-competition provisions in employment agreements. However, with employee mobility on the rise, and interstate hiring by large companies a common part of today’s employment landscape, employees are constantly looking for ways to protect their human capital, intellectual property, and their business from unfair competition. Ms. Bradley’s interactive and informative presentation will look at when and how non-competition clauses are enforceable, and when they aren’t worth the paper they’re printed on.
Ms. Bradley’s practice focuses on employment litigation, complex business litigation and legal malpractice matters. In 2013, she and fellow partner James Rosen obtained a $5.7 million age discrimination verdict in favor of four minimum wage restaurant workers.
