According to the legal newspaper The Daily Journal, the verdict was the largest personal injury award in the state of California in 2020 and the 3rd highest jury verdict overall for the year. The jury’s award was also the single largest jury verdict recorded in the history of the Murrieta Courthouse in Riverside County.
