Rosen Saba, LLP was selected by California’s premiere legal newspaper the Daily Journal as one of the Top 20 Boutique Firms in California, and one of the Top 8 Litigation Firms. In the feature, Partners Jim Rosen and Ryan Saba discussed the inception of the firm, as well as a few memorable cases, including fending off a class action with a potential $1.87 billion in liability at stake.
Rosen Saba was founded in 1993, and for the past 23 years, the firm has grown into a now nine-lawyer firm with an incredible track record of representing plaintiffs and defendants in high-end and complex civil litigation matters. “It was a perfect blend of both sides of the table,” Jim said. “We look at each case from both angles, which is a huge benefit to our clients.” All of the firm’s lawyers excel as counsel for both plaintiffs and defendants.
One of the plaintiffs’ cases highlighted in the feature was the 2005 Billy Blanks v. Seyfarth Shaw LLP verdict, in which the firm won a $38.5 million jury verdict in a legal malpractice and fraud claim on Blanks’ behalf. That year, it was the fifth largest plaintiff verdict in California. The firm also prides itself on having never lost a defense jury trial.
Both attorneys cite the firm’s collegial environment as a vital component of its success. “Here, we’re social, we’re friendly, and we work both sides of the aisle,” Ryan added.
